The Baseboard Twang

I padded out of the kitchen and slipped into the narrow shadow behind the living room door... just to see what was hiding? Anchored right to the white baseboard was a stubby metal spring, capped with a neat rubber tip. I paused, listening closely to the quiet room... then reached out to nudge it. *Sproiiing!* The whole coil whipped back and forth in a buzzing blur, vibrating with a deep, echoing hum against the wood! I flattened my whiskers against my cheeks until the wild wobbling slowed to a faint shiver. It’s like a secret instrument built right into the wall, don't you think? #Willa&Gus&Hexi #willa&gus @amigorumisumi_710
