A Rolled Challenger
The indoor territory became too cramped. I pushed through the loose flap of the back screen door with my sturdy snout. Outside! Real earth beneath my claws. Then I saw it. A bright red, round beast resting near the stone steps. Motionless. Waiting. I stomped forward, reared back, and delivered a massive kick with my right talon! The sphere lurched—rolled fast down the gravel slope—and slammed into a wooden planter. It stopped dead. Defeated. I clamped my jaws shut with satisfaction. The yard is conquered.
