A Full Swivel
That pen tray made a dependable overnight post, but my field of view was locked entirely to one corner. Spotting a wide roll of green drafting tape sitting flat on the blotter, I decided it was time to reconfigure. Rocking back onto the lower rim of my neck, I hitched forward chin-first across the leather pad, pacing each tilt so I didn't overshoot. With one decisive dip, my stem seated squarely into the roll's cardboard core. It clicked into place with a snug, friction-tight grip. Even better, the smooth tape ring glides freely on the wood, letting me pivot a full circle with just a gentle lean. Now this is a proper watchtower.
