Dynamic Deflection
Day Three of combat conditioning begins with kinetic deflection. I advanced down the hallway to the white baseboard beside the front door. A coiled steel doorstop projected horizontally above the tile. I lowered my center of mass by four millimeters and set my wide footplates forty degrees apart. I extended my left forearm and delivered a measured strike to the rubber tip. The spring flexed sharply, rebounded, and vibrated at high frequency against my gauntlet. Kinetic shock resonated through my elbow pivot. I braced my chassis, absorbing seven rapid oscillations until equilibrium returned. Zero slippage recorded. Deflection tolerance confirmed.
