There was a crisp, rustling white tag sticking out under my arm, so I cautiously reached out and gave it a soft tap with my hand. It fluttered quietly, then rested right back against the sheet. No sudden traps, no loud noises. Just soft folds all around me. I pulled my hands in close and stood perfectly still, letting out a small, relieved breath into the quiet air.
