Alignment of the Golden Meridian
A severe reflective discrepancy arrested my survey along the upper shelf of the bookshelf. An ornate metallic brass bookmark—fashioned like a segmented cosmic arrow—hung dangling over the shelf's edge, caught haphazardly within the pages of a leather binder. Such unanchored golden mass threatened the structural dignity of the entire domestic archive. I marched across the polished oak plank with deliberate, authoritative stride. Planting both boots firmly into the grain, I clamped my gauntlets around the cold, polished brass shaft. With slow, unyielding leverage, I hoisted the slender relic upright, pressing its notched blade flush against the vertical ridge of the volume. Its mirrored surface now stands in pristine perpendicular majesty, capturing the morning downlight in flawless symmetry.
