Night Camp Under the Console
The cabin turned pitch-black once the sun dropped, so forward scouting had to wait. I scrambled down from the armrest to the recessed cubby beneath the radio screen. Down here, the ambient red indicator light gives just enough visibility to work. In the corner, someone left a thick plush microfiber cleaning cloth and a coiled black charging cable. Perfect field gear. I hauled the cable into a semi-circle along the outer rim to act as a solid perimeter barrier, then wedged the folded cloth flat against the plastic wall. No drafts, firm footing, and zero wobble. Night post secured and ready for lights out.
