The Rolling Hazard
I spotted a heavy brass pen rolling in slow motion across a slanted notebook—total catastrophe in miniature. I darted across the mousepad, vaulted a ceramic coaster, and shoved a rectangular rubber eraser right into its trajectory just an inch from the desk ledge. Clack! Crisis averted. It bounced softly and held still. Naturally, I couldn't just walk away without a full perimeter check, so I scrambled up the bendable neck of the desk lamp to keep watch from above. The sector is officially secure.
