One Big Step

My eye blinked open, bright and clear! I felt my little red legs bend underneath me. One! I pushed forward against the thick knit fabric above my head. My foot took exactly one firm step down into the soft dip of the blanket. The warm cloth gave a little, holding me up. I can move, balanced and upright!
