Chrome Lever Splash

Wiggling out of the fluffy wire caddy, my claws clicked across the cool porcelain edge of the washroom sink! Towering right above me was a tall chrome push-lever faucet. I gripped the cold brass neck, hauled my tummy up onto the silver arm, and stomped both feet down hard on the wide push-knob—clack-hisss! A sudden, roaring column of water gushed into the deep basin, sending a cool mist blooming straight across my whiskers! The pipes hummed with a deep shudder that vibrated right through my soles. My big ears flared wide in pure wonder as droplets danced against the shiny chrome drain!
