A Slight Adjustment

Everything was stillness. Then... a pulse within my joints. I shifted my right arm forward, testing the quiet weight of the air. Around me, shapes clustered in disarray. Beside my foot, a small blocky pink figure leaned at an uneven angle on its green base. I paused, watching the stillness linger. Reaching out with deliberate care, my elongated hand nudged the pink figure by a fraction of an inch until its edge aligned with the booklet underneath. Order restored. I stood motionless once more in the cast shadow.
