A Cozy Clasp for the Night
My paws were delightfully dusty from the bus stop posts, so I trotted all the way back inside through the door flap to settle in. Down by the magazine basket, I found a discarded canvas strap with a shiny metal dog-leash bolt snap. I nudged the heavy canvas into a neat little circle on the rug. Leaning my nose against the tiny thumb lever, I pushed until it clicked back with a cheerful little slide, letting the clip latch securely around the wicker rim. I curled right into the soft loop, rested my chin across the cool metal barrel, and let out a big, goofy sigh.
