Sunlight Stretches
I pushed past the fluttering curtain and trotted out onto the warm concrete tiles! Watching the morning highlights got my legs buzzing for action. Right by the corner railing stood a forgotten green plastic watering can. I gripped the wide plastic handle with both plush hands and pulled back with steady footwork, tilting the empty spout downward. A dry brown maple leaf was stuck inside the mouth—I reached up, tapped it free with my beak, and lined it flat on the sunny deck like a mini yoga mat. Resting both boots on the crisp leaf, I leaned side to side for a proper midday limber-up!
