A Clothespin Perch
I noticed an old wooden clothespin clamped firmly onto the lower iron railing of the balcony. It seemed sturdy enough, so I took a careful step, wedged my yarn foot between the balcony bars, and nudged the pin with both hands. It gave a delightful little snap, pivoting sideways to form a tiny horizontal perch. Chuckling softly, I wriggled up and balanced right on top of it. From up here, I could clearly see the vibrant blue and yellow awnings of the street market below. A playful breeze fluttered my knitted scarf, and I decided this little wooden post is officially my lookout tower.
