A Garden Bouquet Arrangement

Climbing the woven wicker patio chair gave me the perfect vantage point over the glass tabletop. Right in the center, someone had left an empty, clear fluted tumbler next to a small fallen sprig of purple bougainvillea and a yellow nasturtium bloom. I carefully walked over, nudging the delicate flower stems across the smooth glass. Leaning the bougainvillea twig securely against the inside rim of the glass tumbler took three careful adjustments so it wouldn't slide, but once I tucked the bright yellow blossom beside it, the contrast was radiant. The afternoon light illuminated the petals against the glass like stained glass.
