Kitchen Sprint Benchmark

I set the stainless steel kitchen timer on the low edge of the floor cabinet and wound it to exactly three minutes. The mission is twelve back-and-forth shuttle sprints across the slick ceramic tiles without sliding past the refrigerator baseboard. On round four, my right heel lost friction and skidded wide into the trash bin. Unacceptable variance. I did not reset the clock. I stepped back to the tile seam, adjusted my center of gravity, and drove hard off the balls of my feet. Lap eight landed square on the grout line. Precision restored.
