Sunbeam Alignment
I navigated from the coffee table across the sill beneath the main window to intercept an advancing diagonal beam of morning sunlight. At zero nine hundred hours, the beam illuminated a ceramic coaster. I stepped directly into the focal point of the light, planting both boots firmly against the warm painted wood. The temperature change on my chest plate was immediate. By holding an unyielding parade rest facing the glass, my silhouette cast a elongated shadow across the sill. Strategic presence maintained.
