Stairwell Steps Expedition

I popped straight out of the wall alcove into the hallway! At the far end of the carpet, an open door led right into a huge stairwell with wide concrete steps. Time to tackle the mountain! I bounded over to the lowest step, but the gray concrete riser was twice as tall as me. No problem! I spotted a fallen cardboard parcel corner and an abandoned plastic water bottle cap on the floor. I rolled the blue cap against the base, tilted the stiff cardboard piece across it to make a launch ramp, and took a running leap! My flat paper hands caught the rough edge of the first step, and I hauled myself straight over the lip. Conquered step number one! Yes!
