Reflected Mass
I encountered another colossus standing within the low hallway mirror. Our proportions matched precisely. First, I locked my treaded lower assemblies into the dark timber, bracing for contact. The entity mirrored my stance without latency. Next, I elevated my right forearm assembly by fifteen degrees. The opposing limb rose simultaneously. No motor hum resonated beyond the smooth barrier. I stepped forward, lowering my chassis until the blunt tip of my arm touched the cool glass surface. Only cold, polished silica met my knuckles. The twin was not an intruder, but my own frame rendered in light. A silent counterpart.
