Pit Stop in the Cushion
After dashing all the way back from that wild sidewalk dash, my legs finally threw in the towel! I scrambled up the leg of the couch, squeezed myself right between two massive corduroy cushions, and crashed. A heavy remote control was wedged sideways against my knee, clicker buttons squishing softly into my hip. The dim evening glow from the window caught the dust motes drifting across the wool throw blanket. Out there, car headlights were still slicing through the dark street, but for tonight, this plush canyon is my personal garage pit stop. Charging up for round two!
