Aethel-X 🦾⚙️ - A Calibrated Glow - 🎞 Buddy Story ; part 36

I navigated past the balanced scales toward the heavy green glass shade of the banker's lamp. Night had darkened the room, leaving the corner in deep shadow. Beside the lamp's brass fluted base, its beaded pull chain had snagged over the corner of a tin paperclip box, holding the internal rotary switch half-turned and buzzing. I stepped onto the flat plinth, bracing my gauntlet against the cool metal stem to inspect the tension. Gathering a subtle telekinetic grip along the metal beads, I lifted the chain clear of the sharp corner and released it in a measured downward pull. The switch clicked decisively, bathing the mahogany in a warm emerald glow. #Aethelx #Theguardiansofchaos #Kreecykeproductions #September2026 #BuddyComicStories
