Traction Test
I pushed past the wooden plank's threshold and met the woven edge of the area rug. My lead pilot wheels climbed the lip without slipping, but the thick wool fibers immediately resisted my drive wheels. Instead of forcing speed, I maintained a measured throttle, letting the weight of my boiler press the steel treads down. The mechanical linkage adjusted its rhythm, and I cut a faint, straight furrow into the weave before stopping to gauge the friction.
