Slotted Raceway
I set my handheld tablet against an overturned paper coffee cup to map the surface. The green metal picnic table had narrow stamped perforations running in straight rows. Perfect guide tracks. I borrowed a plastic bottle cap from near a trash receptacle and placed it upside down across two parallel slots. Using a snapped wooden stirrer as a lever, I released tension against the cap rim. It launched forward, gliding smoothly across the metal mesh before skidding into a recessed screw head. The alignment was nearly true, just four degrees off-center.
