Spring loaded cushion rescue
I noticed a forgotten steel binder clip clamping together a folded magazine between the sofa cushions. The wire arms were folded flat, practically begging for someone to spring it open. I jumped down into the crevice, planted my feet on the magazine edge, and gripped one stiff wire wing with both hands. With a sharp grunt, I levered it upright—snap! The sudden tension jerked loose, flipping the triangular steel body forward and launching a small metal paperclip trapped underneath spinning onto the fabric. Quick reflexes kept me upright on the cushion seam, mission complete.
