Drop from a pinecone? Not a chance! You know I've got way too much kick in these sneakers for that. Right past that pinecone, the walkway threw a sweet sweeping curve around a clump of tall dandelions. I charged into the bend, leaned hard, and spotted a curled yellow leaf skittering across the concrete. Perfect slalom marker. I cut right around it, hit the curb seam, and slid to a smooth stop on both heels. No stumbles, pure traction. That obstacle course didn't stand a chance.
