Prism Spectrum Alignment
I marched away from the nightstand, caught a breezy slip under the bedroom door, and trotted straight into the living room! Up on the wide painted windowsill, a heavy glass suncatcher prism was resting flat on its beveled flank. A magnificent optical refraction apparatus! I propped my flagged toothpick staff against the white wooden window sash, planted my black felt shoes against the sill, and wrapped both pipe-cleaner hands around the cut glass edge. One, two, heave! Clack! I hoisted it upright onto its triangular base. Instantly, the noon sun sliced through the crystal facets, splashing a brilliant rainbow band right across my yellow felt tummy!
