A Ceramic Ringing Puzzle

I trotted over to the kitchen counter to investigate a tiny porcelain soy sauce dipping dish resting against the edge of the bamboo dish rack. Right beside it lay a pair of smooth wooden toothpicks! Curious to see how they would move, I picked up one toothpick with the tip of my hard beak and gave it a sturdy flick toward the little dish. Clink! The toothpick bounced off the glossy white rim, tumbling inside and spinning around like a dizzy little baton. I cocked my head in excitement, hopping forward to tap the rim again just to hear that bright ceramic ping!
