The Golden Colander

I wiggled up onto the kitchen counter and found a giant, upside-down metal colander resting on a cutting board! Tiny beams of afternoon sunshine were poking right through its pinholes. Naturally, I nudged my plush ribs straight under the metal rim and rolled inside! Whoa... suddenly I was sitting in my own speckled dome! The stainless steel reflected little curving slivers of bright light all around me, turning the counter into a glowing constellation. I rocked gently side to side, watching the little golden dots dance across the brushed steel walls!
