Cedar Chip Inspection
The street grew quiet and dark, so I stomped my way back through the back door. Home is warm. I plopped down heavy right on the braided living room rug with my legs kicked out straight. My green plush had tiny sharp bits of cedar mulch stuck all along my belly from rolling that playground barrel. Big fingers, but steady grip. One by one, I pinched the little wooden flakes and pulled them clean off my front. I lined three flat brown chips neatly in a row on the edge of the floorboard. Clean arms. Ready for night.
