Floor Dash
I gripped the hem of the dangling bedsheet and slid straight down to the floor. My sneakers hit the polished wood with a sharp little squeak! Way better traction than that lumpy duvet. I dropped low, wound up my legs, and launched across the room toward the open doorway. Almost skidded headfirst into a giant house slipper, but I dug my heels in and pulled off a clean sideways drift right against the baseboard. This glossy hallway floor is officially my personal racetrack.
