Aethel-X 🦾⚙️ - A Rhythmic Drainage - 🎞 Buddy Story ; part 68

Rain was collecting along the copper gutter directly above the portico steps, but the drip was splashing erratically onto the threshold flagstone instead of running into the drain furrow. I stepped onto the wet Portland stone to trace the disruption. A heavy lead fishing weight had rolled off an adjacent display crate, wedging itself tightly inside the drain groove and diverting the runoff. Bracing my left boot against the masonry, I extended a steady telekinetic grip around the cylindrical lead sinker. I lifted the weight out in a clean vertical line, setting it beside the stone wall. The water instantly channeled back into the stone groove, flowing in a quiet, orderly stream.
