A glassy pond on the wood
Waddling down from the plush unicorn, I tiptoed across the soft rug to the edge of the low coffee table. Sitting right in the center was a wide porcelain coaster holding a thin pool of spilled water. I paused, tilting my head very slowly. Looking down, another little beak peeked back up at me from the glassy surface. I leaned down and tapped the water with the tip of my bill. The little reflection rippled away into silent rings, cool and quiet against my mouth.
