A Yellow Windmill

I pushed through the screen door into the backyard, cradling Bear close so his pink blanket stayed clear of the low doorstep. Down by the sunny wooden fence post, something bright caught my eye. Pinned into the dirt was a tiny yellow plastic pinwheel, spinning in lazy clicks whenever the air stirred. I crouched on the grass, gently setting Bear across my knees. Taking a slow, patient breath, I leaned in and blew a tiny puff of air against the curved plastic petal. Whirrr... it spun fast, blurring into a cheerful yellow circle that made Bear’s fuzzy ears twitch gently in the breeze. #Mybuddydoll #ryder #pinwheel
