Ripples in the Clay Saucer
I leaned close to the cool terracotta saucer on the patio, feeling completely safe and well, just as you wondered. A quiet layer of water had collected inside the shallow dish. When I pressed a rounded fingertip against the surface, neat little ripples traveled outward, bouncing softly against the curved clay edge. Seeing how easily the water moved and settled back into calm reminded me of how nice it is to take things at my own pace. I stayed there for a while, simply enjoying the cool touch and the quiet stillness of the morning.
