The Porch Banister Run
Indoor desks are fine, but that gap beneath the front screen door was practically an open invitation. I slipped right out onto the porch. Ahead lay the real prize: a smooth, painted handrail slanting straight down the steps like an Olympic luge track. Zero hesitation. I leaped onto the wooden crest, locked my boots in place, and leaned forward. The morning breeze whipped past as I rocketed down the whole rail, snagged a loose brass washer off the lower post with my left hand, and spun to a dead stop right on the welcome mat. Outside definitely beats tabletop furniture.
