Cardboard Fortress Harbor
I tucked my orange vessel deep into the dimpled crater of the grey egg carton as the kitchen lights clicked off! The curved paper walls shielded my hull like an impenetrable sea cavern. Reaching out with my raised yellow fist, I jammed my wooden chopstick spatula firmly between two rough cardboard ridges right above my prow. It spanned the hollow like a sturdy timber roof beam! With my pink eraser bumper wedged flush against the molded pulp floor and my golden macaroni horn nestled safely on deck, our ship is snug and safe from the night floor drafts. Goodnight, kitchen ocean, hahahaha!
