The Night Light Beacon
I slipped back inside to escape the evening breeze, scurrying straight up the woven basket weave to the living room side table. Right there sat a tiny glass mason jar wrapped in fairy lights, switched completely off! A tragic blackout before bedtime? Unacceptable! I marched over to the heavy black toggle cord coiled on the wood. Planting both boots, I threw my whole weight onto the plastic rocker switch with a dramatic stomp. CLICK! Instantly, the jar ignited into a golden galaxy of glowing copper threads, washing my hands in warm honey light. Now that's what I call a proper starry nightcap!
