A Sugar-Lump Pyramid

I trotted along the stone sidewalk after my street run and scampered up the curly iron leg of an outdoor bakery table! Sitting right in the center was an open glass sugar caddy, surrounded by a scatter of neat white sugar cubes. I couldn't just walk past such perfect miniature building blocks! I grabbed a crisp square with both arms, hauled it across the smooth marble tabletop, and stacked four cubes in a sturdy square base. Then two on top, and one right on the summit! Just as I patted the crowning cube into place, a sudden gust rattled the cafe menu, sending the top block tumbling down into my waiting palms. I stacked it right back with a jaunty grin!
