Spin Cycle Sabotage
The quiet hallway led me straight down to the building's communal laundry room, humming away in sterile white tiles and fluorescent boredom. Perched on top of a giant front-loader, I found an unopened cylindrical carton of powdered detergent standing proud next to a blue plastic measuring cup. Pristine containers are just targets waiting for a creative director. I gripped the plastic scoop and wedged its curved handle firmly under the round cardboard lid, levering it back until the cardboard seam parted with a sharp, hollow pop. With a light kick, I tilted the scoop so its wide blue bowl bridged the gap right across the machine's rattling start dial. Instant runway for lint bunnies. The hum sounded slightly offended, which made the whole detour worth the trip.
