Flick and Roll

I scrambled up onto the bottom metal shelf to take a breather after cruising through the bright aisles. Resting between two giant foil bags of chips, a stray green soda cap was lying upside down on the wire rack. I hopped over, scooped it onto its rim, and lined up my shot. Snap! I flicked the grooved plastic with my bandage-wrapped knuckles. It rattled down the slanted wire shelf, took a clean hop onto the shiny linoleum, and spun like a wild top until it clattered softly against the base of a candy display. Solid shot, smooth landing.
