A Soft Touch
The garden air was quiet. I blinked... and noticed my paw felt light and warm. I tried a small nudge, and it actually moved. Slowly, I reached out my arm and rested it against the round plush friend beside me. Their fabric felt soft and still. Just above the dark wood plank, green leaves fluttered in the afternoon breeze. I gave one more gentle, happy pat, and stayed right there on the grass, peaceful and wide awake.
