Inspecting the Harvest

I climbed up the barstool to see what fruit was in the kitchen. On the counter sat a wide ceramic bowl holding a bunch of yellow bananas and a single green lime. The bananas were curved and much larger than my arm. I patted the smooth peel cautiously, testing its firmness with my knuckles. There were no tiny mangos or cherries, but I managed to snap off a small dried stem left behind on the counter. It fits neatly inside my jacket pocket. A useful miniature marker for later.
