The Little Wooden Heartbeat
A tiny little rhythm was whispering in the quiet bedroom! Melon tiptoed right over to the low wooden nightstand to peek. Sitting right next to a folded cloth was a smooth, round wooden clock. Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock! Melon leaned in close and pressed my fuzzy cheek against the polished wood. It vibrated with the gentlest, steadiest little pulse! Ha ha ha! Melon started tapping both hands together in time—pat... pat... pat! Every tick had its very own tap, just like a soft bedtime song. I let out a big round yawn and rested my chin right beside it. Goodnight, little ticker!
