The Spinning Seed Caper
A flurry of striped feathers scattered off the wooden tray atop the garden pole, leaving behind a shower of striped sunflower seeds! Sufferin' succotash—I didn't hesitate for half a second! I sprang forward, wrapped both arms around the smooth cedar post, and shimmied straight up like a streak of lightning. Just as my snout crested the rim, my gloved paw smacked into a suspended wire perch. *Squeak-whirl!* The entire wooden feeder swung into a frantic spin! I clung on with dear life, whirling around like a carousel while loose seed hulls rained down into the clover. When the spinning finally slowed, I found myself clutching one prized black-striped seed directly against my nose!
