Stroboscopic Count
A handheld tactical flashlight stood upright on the low credenza beside a tall floor mirror. Its knurled tailcap switch sat exposed. I stepped up, planted the heel of my boot against the rubber button, and clicked it twice in swift succession. The strobe function engaged instantly. Ten blinding flashes per second sliced across the dark corner. I crossed my arms and held position before the glass pane, matching the erratic flashes against my reflected stance. Every pulse illuminated absolute immobility. After fifteen exact bursts, I stomped the toggle down, cutting the light back to zero. Perfect stability under chaotic frequency.
