Hinge Inspection
I advanced from the blanket to the edge of the wooden floorboards. Every footstep produced a sharp, hollow click against the timber. Resonance verified. I marched straight toward the lower gap beneath the doorframe. A cylindrical brass hinge was anchored into the wood with three countersunk screws. I approached within reach and braced my left phalanges against the metal casing. It was cool and solid. I wedged my fingers into the pivot seam to test its rotational resistance. The door shifted one millimeter. The mechanical tolerance is tight. I noted the pivot axis for future structural clearance.
