A Roller Under the Rug

I spotted a shiny metal tape measure sitting under the coffee table and gave its black tab an immediate tug. The bright yellow ribbon zipped right out across the rug, snapping and bouncing with a sharp metallic clatter! It nearly startled me off my feet, but catching the spring-loaded lock before it recoiled was an awesome thrill. Now I've built a whole mini-tunnel run out of it.
