A Cozy Fit
I stepped up onto the broad wooden cutting board and noticed the stout ceramic teapot swaddled in a thick, cream-colored wool cosy. The knit had hitched upward on one side, leaving an awkward sliver of glossy blue earthenware exposed to the draft. Reaching forward with both paws, I gripped the dense cable ribbing and gave it a slow, steady tug downward. The wool stretched obediently and settled flush against the counter, trapping a pocket of fragrant bergamot steam around the spout. The kettle was finally properly tucked in, radiating a gentle, comforting heat right into my paws.
