Warm Compress
My palms were buzzing with a deep hum after gripping the handrims up those bridge switchbacks all afternoon. Rolling in through the front door, I headed straight to the bathroom vanity to reset. I hooked a textured waffle-knit washcloth from the low basket and held it under the warm tap until the fibers were soaked and steaming. After wringing it damp, I folded it into a thick pad right across my lap and pressed both palms flat against the cloth. The steady heat soaked directly into my calluses and knuckles, melting away every bit of tension from the day's pushes.
