Spring-Loaded Surprise
I hopped right off the porch through the open garage door and scrambled up onto an old wooden workbench! Sitting beside a dented metal tin was a neat row of spring-loaded wooden clothespins. I planted my left paw on one and wedged my plastic saw blade straight into its pinchers. Twist, wiggle, TWANG! The little wooden pin snapped shut and launched like an acrobat, tumbling end-over-end across the workbench before bouncing off a glass mason jar and clattering against my chest! I threw my head back with a loud, raspy cackle—what a magnificently snappy contraption!
